There is also an illuminated bar also included in the Loft space.

We also include (2) 6 ft and (2) 8ft standard buffet tables in the Loft and (4) 6ft standard buffet tables on the Terrace. All other tables and chairs must be rented.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the scheduling for rental pick-up and drop-off?
All rentals and deliveries must be dropped off between 9am-12noon and 2pm-5pm and must be picked-up after the event before the contracted break-down time. No exceptions.
Where is the Freight Elevator located?
The freight elevator is located on 3 East 29th Street between Madison and 5th Avenue-closer to 5th Avenue. It is a loading dock located between the church and bank on the right hand side of the street.
What is the Event Manager’s Role?
The Event Manager is on-site for the contracted time as a technical representative of the venue. He does not act as an event planner, but is onsite during your contracted event time.
What is the Sound System Compatibility?
We do not allow DJ’s to hook into our system; they must provide all of their own equipment. No laptops with a mixer or mixer program are allowed to connect to our system. We provide a wireless microphone for the Loft, and a microphone and speaker for the Terrace. If you would like someone to control the sound and mic throughout the entirety of the event, there is an additional fee of minimum $150.

What are the ceiling heights?
The ceiling is 12 ft high and with the beams is 11 ft high.
What is the latest contract time?
The latest contract time is 2pm-12am only for weddings, unless otherwise discussed and approved by the Midtown Loft Sales Manager. All other events must end at 11pm.
What happens if we go past our contracted break-down time?
If you go past your break-down time, you will be penalized with an overtime fee starting at $500.
Can lanterns be hung from the ceiling?
Yes, lanterns and chandeliers under 3 lbs can be hung, but should be discussed and approved by the Account Manager beforehand. Midtown Loft Productions can provide lanterns, chandeliers, draping and other production services and should be contacted at: sales@midtownloft.net.
Can a grill be brought in?
We do not allow grills in the space unless otherwise approved by Midtown Loft.
Can a band or DJ play on the Terrace?
We do not allow a band or DJ on the Terrace unless the DJ is provided through Scratch Weddings. It is possible for a few string pieces on the Terrace if the event is a Wedding.
How many people can you accommodate?
The Loft can accommodate 300 at a standing room maximum. We can accommodate 180 fully seated with dance floor. The Terrace can accommodate 150 for ceremony seating or a cocktail style event.
What is offered with the rental price?
In-house lounge furniture, illuminated bar, buffet tables (4), ficus trees (4), ipod sound system, microphones, wi-fi, red carpet, doorman and event manager.
Can we bring our own caterer?
Any outside caterer is allowed and they must provide general liability insurance and signed Catering Memorandum Form which we will provide. Midtown Loft & Terrace has an exceptional list or Recommended Caterers upon request.
Can we bring our own liquor?
Yes, bringing your own liquor is allowed, and should be arranged with the caterer you end up with. No money exchange for bar are allowed on the premises.
Are pets allowed in the space?
Service pets are allowed in the space and prior arrangements with the Account Manager must be made.
Are the Loft & Terrace handicapped accessible?
There are passenger elevators which can take guests to the Loft space. The freight elevator does go to the the Terrace level if you have elderly or handicapped guests who are unable to take the stairs.
Are there any additional fees?
There is a list of possible damages that the Midtown Loft & Terrace does have the right to charge for after the event. The list is given to you prior, and any item(s) will be discussed before any charges are made.
What if we are not using a caterer?
If you are not using a caterer for the event, you must provide your own insurance. Please visit www.privateeventinsurance.com and choose the $1 Million General Liability & Liquor (if there will be liquor present). Midtown Loft & Terrace will also charge a non-negotiable cleaning fee starting at $300.
Who is responsible for clean-up?
The caterer is responsible for clean-up of the space, and must sign agreement on the Catering Memorandum Form which ML&T which states all rules and regulations for clean-up responsibilities.
Does the Midtown Loft & Terrace have AV capabilities?
Midtown Loft Productions does have (4) 70” LCD TV’s and plus DVD players available to rent. You may contact: sales@midtownloft.net with inquiries. Midtown Loft & Terrace also provides microphones, an ipod sound system and WI-Fi with your rental fee.
What is the power capability in the space?
The Loft has 220 amps of power. 16 electrical outlets are available around the space.

Is there a kitchen onsite?
Yes, both the Loft and the Terrace have kitchens onsite. Each kitchen comes equipped with two ovens, a refrigerator with a freezer attachment, and large garbage containers. There are no additional fees to utilize the kitchens, they are included in our rental fees.
